Kristina Adams
President
Kristina Adams completed her first 200 RYT training in 2023, and most recently completed B.R.A.V.E Leadership & 200 Hour Teacher Training in early 2024. She knew during her first ever yoga class that she wanted to become certified to teach it, and loves all types of yoga. Being a part of 3 Rivers Yoga Foundation allows Kristina to fulfill two very important passions: helping children in the Fort Wayne area, and women in recovery from addiction. She also volunteers with Fort Wayne Community School’s Families in Transitions Department. Kristina enjoys participating and teaching all types of fitness, and is also certified to teach HITT, Barre and Sculpt. When she isn’t in the studio, she keeps busy working with her husband, watching her boys play their sports and reading a book at the lake.

She is the co-owner of a local yoga studio and has completed the highest level of training (F.I.T. to Lead) through the Baptiste Yoga Institute. Her love of yoga comes from not only the wide ranging health benefits, but also it's ability to create connection between people and develop powerful leaders. Jennifer Mills
Past Vice President
Jen Mills is a tier one certified Baptiste teacher, a 200 hour RYT, and has been teaching Baptiste Yoga for the past five years. Through the Baptiste methodology, Jen discovered her passion for health and healing and pursued this interest further by becoming a massage therapist. Being a part of the 3 Rivers Yoga Foundation is her way to give back and to be of service to the community. Her hope is that by teaching the methodology, she can pass this gift on to her students, and for them to discover their passion and live their best life. When she is not teaching yoga, Jen enjoys spending time with her family, friends, snuggling her pups, summer days on her porch, and cozy fires in her living room.

Emily Atkinson
Manager
Emily Atkinson began her yoga journey in March 2024, attending the 3RY Friday Night Community Class, as her first introduction to the practice. She quickly developed a deep passion for not only yoga, but the sense of community that comes along with it. For Emily, yoga became the missing piece in her recent health and fitness journey. She has a passion for all things wellness and personal development.
Emily found a meaningful way to connect with others through the 3 Rivers Yoga Foundation. This has given her a means to share what she has learned on her own personal journey, with her community.
When Emily isn't at the studio, she enjoys spending time with her family and pets, relaxing on the lake, and just getting outside.

Leslie Williams
Ancillary Board
"I am involved with 3 Rivers Yoga so that I can be a part of something bigger... to give back to our community by providing something that has been so impactful to me personally."
-

Sarah Huber
Ancillary Board
Taking care of my body and mind through exercise and eating well has always been important to me. I became active with 3RYF through Sarah Evans. The experience I have gained through my volunteer work and board positions with other non-profit organizations flowed into supporting 3RYF. I feel that the 3RYF mission supporting multiple organizations with the benefits of yoga is vital to our community. I enjoy creating the ticketing websites for our events and handling tasks necessary behind the scene all while asking pesky questions regarding our financial operations. I grew up in Connecticut and met my husband at the University of Tulsa, where I received a degree in Business Management. We have lived in Fort Wayne since 1988. Our daughter lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Terri Walker

She works in the Nursing Professional Development department at Parkview Health. She was introduced to Baptiste’s yoga 8 years ago. She completed the B.R.A.V.E Teacher and Leadership 200-hour training in 2021 and became a certified yoga teacher. She has taught at Big Brother’s Big Sister’s and has volunteered at several foundation events over the last 8 years. She served as Secretary of the 3 River’s Yoga Foundation September 2020 to October 2024. She will continue to be on the board as an ancillary member. She is married to Steve Walker. She is a proud mother of 3 and a grandmother 4. She loves connecting the Fort Wayne community with 3 River’s Yoga Foundation opportunities.

Through Baptiste, she learned how impactful the practice can be off the mat as well as on and wants to encourage others to do the same. She is an HR leader for a Fortune 500 company and is the mom to two amazing kids. Monica teaches kids yoga at the Boys & Girls Club of Fort Wayne, and has been a volunteer with Junior Achievement for several years.

Passionate about health, children, and community, Maya received a Yoga Teacher Training scholarship through 3 rivers Yoga at PYFW, an opportunity that deepened her appreciation for yoga as a bridge to connection and healing the relationship with the body.
Her goal is to expand her work by bringing yoga to moms and adolescents, creating spaces for growth, healing, and self-connection through movement and self- awareness.

Caity Laidler
Fundraising, Community Development
Hi, I’m Caity! I moved to Fort Wayne in 2019 after graduating from Central Michigan University and found my community home at Power Yoga Fort Wayne, where I’ve been a proud member and EE since 2022!
I’ve spent most of my career working in nonprofit development - focusing on events, partnerships, and fundraising strategy - and I’m so excited to bring that experience to the 3 Rivers Yoga Foundation team. My goal is to help evolve our development efforts, strengthen relationships, and continue making yoga accessible and inclusive for everyone in our community.
Outside the studio, I love reading, crocheting, cooking, playing volleyball, and going on walks and playdates with my dog, Nova. Restorative yoga is my favorite - there’s nothing quite like the grounding and peace that comes from completing a class, and I can’t wait to help more people experience that for themselves!
-

Liz Simerman
Secretary
I’ve been practicing yoga for over 20 years, and it has always been a grounding practice—a way to offer myself care, balance, and connection. In 2016, I deepened that journey by completing my 200-hour teacher training at Studio Seva.
I’ve spent most of my life in Fort Wayne, aside from my time in Illinois where I attended college at LFC and studied religion, entrepreneurship, sociology, and anthropology. My husband and I have been together for 15 years, and we feel incredibly blessed to be raising three biological children, with an adoption journey currently unfolding for our family.
I have a deep-rooted passion for serving and uplifting my community. I love connecting with people, and my greatest hope is that through every interaction, others feel the light, energy, and love of Jesus!
